From tired old bungalow to stunning family home
We were tasked with reimagining a dated bungalow, transforming it into a spacious and contemporary family home. The challenge was to maximise space, modernise the layout, and ensure long-term adaptability — all while maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment. Our goal was to future-proof the design without compromising the character of the area or creating a home that felt out of place.
What We Did
The original bungalow had served its time, but it simply wasn’t making the most of the plot. So, we got to work designing something fresh. Most of the existing structure was taken down to make way for a more contemporary layout – one that worked hard both upstairs and down.
We handled everything from the ground up. Design, planning, construction – the full works. The end result? A family home that works efficiently across both floors and makes full use of the available space.
The Result
This wasn’t just a new house – it was a total reinvention. The new build brings style and practicality together, with a solid nod to the local character of the area. A proper team effort, from the first sketch to the final nail.
