From Cow Shed to Stylish Holiday Home
We recently completed a fantastic barn conversion in Dalton-in-Furness, transforming a former cattle shed into a stylish 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom holiday let. This project is the first phase of a three-barn development, and it’s already set the tone beautifully for what’s to come. After just five months on site, the property is now ready to welcome guests looking for a peaceful countryside escape.
The client gave us full trust to bring the vision to life, which made for a smooth and enjoyable process. We were able to make key decisions on the build while the customer added their personal touches to the kitchen and bathrooms, creating a lovely balance between bespoke style and thoughtful design. The result is a space that feels both characterful and contemporary – keeping original features like exposed beams while introducing modern comforts throughout.
Outside, we fully landscaped the surrounding area, creating a welcoming setting that’s just as impressive as the interior. From paths and planting to seating areas, every element was designed with guests in mind. One of the highlights is the new hot tub area, perfectly placed to soak up the stunning countryside views – the ideal spot for relaxing after a day exploring South Cumbria.
We’re really proud of how this first barn has come together and are excited to continue with the next two. It’s a brilliant example of what’s possible with a clear vision, great teamwork, and a bit of imagination.
